Graduate / Exchange International Student Orientation Airport Transportation Registration

BGSU International Programs & Partnerships is pleased to partner with Uber to provide NEW international students with transportation from Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) to Bowling Green, Ohio. This service is provided exclusively to new international students arriving between Monday, July 20, and Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

Bowling Green State University (BGSU) provides each new international student with up to a $50 USD Uber voucher to help offset some transportation costs from Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) to Bowling Green, Ohio.

• NOTE: the average cost of an Uber ride from DTW to Bowling Green is approximately $100 - $175 USD, though fares may vary depending on traffic, time of day, and demand. Students are responsible for paying any amount that exceeds the $50 USD voucher value.

Please complete the registration form below to register for the Uber voucher.

Within 1-3 business days of registration, you will receive instructions on redeeming your Uber voucher for your airport transportation. The deadline to register is Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 11:59pm Eastern. Because the verification process could take 1-3 business days it is important you register at least one week prior to your scheduled travel dates.
